Last week I posted a “Vampire vs. Lycan” debate. Determining which I’d rather be. Kim took this and spun it to a “which would I rather date” angle (here). For starters Kim, I’d appreciate you tell me prior to posting on your blog that we are going to be seeing other people. Mmmmkay? I thought this was an interesting perspective and, oh hell, why not? Not like I’ve got other stuff to worry about right now.
Either way you are screwed if they get overly excited because they are both super strong and able to rip you to shreds.
First category: Body Temp
I’m leaning towards the Lycan’s here just because of the freezing cold nature of Vampires. They are always cold. Now, sometimes this would be nice, since I do get hot and despise the summer, but I’m thinking middle of December jumping into bed and having Frosty the Fricken-Snow-Woman in bed next to me. Plus, there’s the wanting to cuddle and yeah, just not digging it. Lycan 1, Vampire 0
Second category: available time
Ok, so Vampires can only be out and about for part of the day, but Lycan’s can be out at all times. This one is tricky because I am so not a morning person, and I tend to stay up late (0200-0300) but still like being able to go do things with the family during the day. Plus, there are parent helper days at Paige’s preschool, soccer games for both kids, birthday parties, etc. Yeah. Lycan 2, Vampire 0
Third category: accidental infection
Ok, they get angry, a little too excited in the heat of the moment, etc. and they decide to turn me. Lycan’s damn near take off your shoulder with their bite. Ouch. It is usually displayed as a big torn open mess. Vampire’s have two nice little holes. Gee, tough call. Lycan 2, Vampire 1
Fourth category: presentation
I don’t know why, but they just can’t seem to make a sexy Lycan. In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen a female Lycan. Then you get someone like Kate Beckinsale in Underworld and Rhona Mitra in Underworld Rise of the Lycans. Nice skin tight black latex. Yeah… Lycan 2, Vampire 50 Sorry, but that outfit alone is worth more than just 1 point!
Ok, now that I have the image of Kate Beckinsale in Underworld in my head (on on my rolling desktop wallpaper thanks to Windows 7)…yeah, Vampire’s win.
