I have a case study due on Monday at 12:50 when class starts. For those that don’t know what a case study is (perhaps you were lucky and never had to do one or haven’t done one in so long that you have forgotten what they really are) it goes like this:
1) Teacher assigns a multipaged document dealing with a random company (may or may not be a real company).
2) Teacher requires you to read said document and analyze company’s issues. Usually there are multiple issues to be had.
3) Take said issue (or issues depending on the teacher) and discuss the problem, the root of the problem, suggestions, courses of actions, and analysis of your suggestions and courses of actions.
4) Turn in paper and pray that:
a) The teacher gets so bored half way through that they decide to just pass you on it.
b) Decides to have a nice glass of wine while grading and therefore is too drunk to make a real decision other than to pass everyone.
c) You are a teacher’s pet and they feel guilty for giving you anything less than a B.
d) all of the above
Personally, I shoot for d just because I don’t like getting anything less than an A, let alone barely squeaking by.
So there you have it…that’s a case study in a nutshell. Mine is due Monday, and I have about one and one-half paragraphs completed. I work best under pressure and usually bs my way through it. For the record, I’ve never gotten less than a B on any case study….and only one of them was a B all the others were A’s. Perhaps since I seem to have a knack for BS’ing I should look into politics as a career choice…….hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Oh, and Aiden just woke up and ran down the hall to our bedroom. Once he realized I was not in bed, he ran back to his room and got back into his bed. That kid is LOUD!!!
