Just got home from a decent day at school. Oh, really quick like one of the 3 remaining classes I have to take has a test in the first week or two. Big deal right? Well if you don’t pass the test, the teacher kicks you out of the class. My current teacher was the teacher of this class (Marketing Research) but he is going on sabatical for one year. His class two semeseters ago average for the test was 20%, the last class was up to about 35%. Here’s the thing, Jason (my current teacher) didn’t kick people out of class and the last class EVERYONE passed the class. Might have to fight this one….and luckily the Chairman of the Marketing Dept happens to be on a first name basis with me……anyway.
So I get home and open a letter from some fucking company named Certegy. They are apparently a company that does check authorization. Some piece of shit decided to take customers information and sell it to a data broker who in turn sold it. Included in this information that was sold was: name, address, phone number, debit/credit cards including expiration dates, and checking account number. Our checking account number was apparently sold by this fucking asshole.
Certegy’s recommendation is to monitor the account for the next 24 months and regularly check our credit report to prevent anything from happening. FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Our bank is in the process of completely closing our entire account (savings and checking accounts….all of them) and opening a whole new account. We can’t use our debit card until we get the new account. We use the debit card for grocery shopping, filling the cars with gas, sodas, going out to eat, etc. We are FUCKING PISSED!!!!
